Gbajabiamila leads team to Commonwealth parliamentary meeting in Tanzania

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has led the Nigerian delegation to the 50^th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Africa Region Conference in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

Also in the team were Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege and members from the two legislative chambers.

The event, with the theme, “E-Parliament: Seamless Platform for Facilitating Democracy”, is considering a wide range of issues to sustain ties among member-states.

Gbajabiamila pointed out that the platform would be maximised to enhance the nation’s democracy and deepen cooperation with others with a view to strengthening civil rule in Africa.

The yearly general meeting of the conference holds on September 4.
