AIG Musa Yusuf Garba Receives LIMWeek 2025 Delegation
Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Musa Yusuf Garba of the Maritime Police Command met with delegates from the Organising Committee of the Lagos International Maritime Week (LIMWeek) 2025. Led by Conference Convener Mrs. Oritsematosan Edodo-Emore, the delegation visited the Command Headquarters in Obalende, Lagos, as part of stakeholder engagements ahead of LIMWeek’s 10th edition on September 29-30, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.
In her remarks, Mrs. Oritsematosan highlighted the objectives of LIMWeek 2025, which include fostering dialogue on maritime security, and strengthening Nigeria’s blue economy through collaboration with critical stakeholders. She emphasized the importance of Maritime Police Command, in ensuring a secure maritime environment for sustainable growth.
In his response, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba psc(+), IIPS, PSPS, commended the organizers for their consistency in sustaining the conference over the years and assured them of the Command’s support. He reaffirmed that maritime security remains a top priority for the Nigeria Police Force, stressing that strategic partnerships such as LIMWeek play a vital role in economic development.
The courtesy visit provided an avenue to deepen collaboration between the Maritime Police Command and the Organising Committee, as well as to deliberate on practical strategies that would contribute to the success of LIMWeek 2025.
