Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC has closed the 2025 financial year with record earnings, on the back of stronger passenger and cargo handling activities, improved operational efficiency, and sustained investment in equipment and workforce capacity. The company released the results at its 16th Annual General Meeting in Lagos.
For the year ended December 31, 2025, SAHCO posted revenue of ₦44.46 billion. This is a 54 percent increase from ₦28.94 billion recorded in 2024. Management said the growth reflects rising demand for ground handling services across its network of commercial airports, supported by increased airline operations and expanded service delivery.
Profitability recorded a sharp uptick. Profit Before Tax rose to approximately ₦12.26 billion from ₦6.49 billion in the previous year. Profit After Tax stood at about ₦9.74 billion. Earnings Per Share also improved to ₦7.20 from ₦3.57, pointing to stronger shareholder value.
The company attributed the performance to disciplined cost control, acquisition of modern Ground Support Equipment, targeted infrastructure upgrades, and continuous staff development. The strategy, it said, enhanced turnaround times, improved service reliability, and supported higher throughput across airports.
SAHCO’s financial position also strengthened. Shareholders’ equity grew to ₦62.21 billion, while total assets increased to ₦82.69 billion. The rise in assets was supported by investments in property, plant and equipment, as well as improved liquidity that provides headroom for further expansion.
Speaking at the AGM, Chairman Dr. Barr. Taiwo Afolabi, CON, said the results reflect the resilience of SAHCO’s business model and the commitment of its workforce. He noted that the company’s focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic investment helped it navigate a challenging operating environment while delivering growth.
Afolabi added that SAHCO remains the only aviation ground handling company with operational presence across all commercial airports in Nigeria. This nationwide footprint, he said, continues to reinforce the company’s strategic importance within the aviation sector.
Looking ahead, the chairman disclosed that SAHCO is developing entry strategies for the United Arab corridors, and positioning SAHCO as a leading ground handling and logistics provider across the continent and beyond.
SAHCO’s service portfolio covers passenger handling, baggage and ramp handling, cargo handling, aviation security, premium lounge services, crew administration, and other aviation support services. The company said it will continue to align capital expenditure with demand, deepen airline partnerships, and scale equipment capacity to meet growing volumes.
