·         Recognise, and assist entrepreneurs in the food business, Ejike Omeke tells FG

Poor background and lack of help from family members and friends are no excuses for failure in life because any serious-minded person can succeed in life with tenacity, focus, determination, focus, and trust in God.

This is the submission of Ejike Omeke Samson, who finally discovered himself and succeeded in a very difficult environment in the Northern part of the country due to the banditry and terrorism caused by the Book Haram in the North.

He, however, said the activities of Boko Haram insurgents have reduced and that the North, particularly Yola, is safer for now.
Ejike, who doesn’t believe in giving up in life because of a lack of helpers or poor parental background, described himself as a tactician and strategist in the food chain business, especially the eggs business for over 20 years in Yola, Adamawa State. He is also a philanthropist to so many individuals and organizations, as well as orphanage homes in the Northern part of the country.
Born in Alor-Agu Community Igbo-eze Local Government Area of Enugu State about 40 years ago, Ejike attended primary school in Alor-Agu after which he migrated to Yola in Adamawa State after he lost his parents at the very tender age of 13.

Because his father died one year after he lost his mother, his uncle took him to Yola to learn the food business where he served for about 10 years before he visited his village after staying away for a long time.

He went back to Yola and his master settled him, but he was still staying with the man when the master also died in a fatal motor accident.

“Six months after the death of my master, I decided to continue with the food business because my master had earlier settled me. My shop is located at Yola Ultra Modern Market. I initially sold only eggs, which brought me to the limelight in the foodstuff business.

“God really flavored me through a woman I met, who introduced me to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Yola for some time before the business stopped when former President Muhammadu Buhari came into power in 2015.
“I usually buy the eggs from Jos, Plateau State. The Journey takes about 10 hours to Yola. I was able to train my siblings to higher education because I did not have the opportunity to further my education. I have also extended assistance to other people and organizations. I appreciate God’s grace and mercy in my life. He made me somebody and today I have a home in Bature, Yola,” he narrated.
He further explained that due to the political situation in the North, exacerbated by insurgency, he sent his immediate family members to his hometown in Enugu State, lamenting that Boko Haram insurgents dealt a very devastating blow to the North at that time.

“I am blessed with four Children and a wonderful wife Blessing. I am a disciplined, great listener, and a great assistant in the food chain business. The Federal Government should recognize and assist those involved in the food business due to the harsh economic situation of the country,” he added.
