POLICE SERVICE COMMISSION PARTNERS LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL ON CAPACITY BUILDING FOR OFFICIALS

A delegation from the Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan Atlantic University, today paid a courtesy visit to the Police Service Commission (PSC) to explore areas of collaboration, particularly in the training of Commission officials.
The head of the delegation, Mr. Victor Banjo, mni, said the visit was aimed at synergising with the Commission on capacity building. He also commended the PSC under the leadership of its Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd) mni, for restoring pride in the Commission’s affairs and bringing credibility to the ongoing recruitment process into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). Mr. Banjo praised the Commission’s adherence to high ethical standards and its focus on sustainability, expressing optimism that the quality of recruits into the NPF would reflect these values.
Responding, the PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, thanked the delegation and affirmed that the Commission would welcome greater collaboration with the Lagos Business School in training its officials. He reiterated that the Commission is determined to recruit the most suitable Nigerians into the NPF, adding that the current process is in line with global best practices in police recruitment.
“Processes and procedures determine product or output,” he noted.
