Ogun state courageous woman and peculiar development strategist, chief Dr Jackie a Adunni, who is the governorship candidate of the united Democratic party, UDP, in emphasizing her plans to renew Ogun state socio-economically, before a group of newsmen who visited her at her Sango-Ota home recently, said that when she becomes governor of the state she would cause a general turnaround of the polity, through a strategic focus on rural development.
Chief Adunni stressed that governance in her time as governor will assume a new dimension as all hands will be on deck to make Ogun better and greater.
Expatiating on this plan, the intending governor said that her governorship will facilitate accelerated rural development basic amenities such as portable water access roads and electrification.
According to Chief Adunni, the pressure on urban centres will drastically reduce with this sort of development that will also cut crime and other social vices. Speaking she noted “Apart from ensuring overall development through the various sectors of the state engaging rural people through mechanised farming, flourishing micro/mini business, in an atmosphere that is infrastructural conducive will work miracles and make all segment of the state attractive and habitable.
Massive empowerment of the people using various skill and crafts will also catalyse development in the state”.
Chief Adunni who lamented all forms of leadership indiscipline, recklessness and irresponsibility, assured the people of Ogun state that her leadership will be with the love of a mother. This she said implies that the resources accruing to and generated in Ogun state will be amassed for the general good of the state and the people.
She advised other guber candidates as well as other assembly contesters to shun hate speeches and concentrate on speaking of what they need to contribute to make life worth living for the people.
Chief Adunni appealed for the votes of the people, an action she said will finally liberate the people from political and economic manipulations; promising to visit Ogun state with prosperity Peace and progress.
