The Nigeria Maritime Journalists (NMJ) has announced the postponement of the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) Award Dinner, which was initially scheduled to be held today, Thursday, January 16, 2025. The award dinner was intended to honour the Comptroller-General of Customs as the “2024 Maritime Personality of the Year

The CGC, following unprecedented achievements in trade facilitation and enviable interagency collaborators capped by a breathtaking revenue generation, was scheduled for honour today, Thursday, January 16, 2024, by the highly impressed media practitioners.

However, a statement made available by the chairman of the Organising committee, Dele Aderibigbe, said the postponement was compelled by circumstances beyond the control of the organisers.

The statement, while stressing that a new date would soon be announced, deeply regrets any inconvenience the unexpected postponement must have caused guests.
