GMPN IS CALLING MEDIA PROFESSIONALS TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF IMPACT STORYTELLING
Across Africa and beyond, the stories that matter most are often the ones least heard. Stories of women building businesses, leading communities, creating jobs, and driving change deserve platforms that can carry them farther.
That is why I am inviting you to join the Global Media Publishing Network (GMPN), a new collaborative network of media professionals convened within the Women Reform Organization (WRO) ecosystem.
GMPN was conceived to break down the silos that keep important development stories limited in reach. We are bringing together publishers, journalists, broadcasters, digital storytellers, and communication practitioners who share one goal: to amplify credible, solutions-driven narratives about women’s empowerment, enterprise, leadership, and social impact.
Let me be clear. This is not a job offer. It is also not a channel set up only to promote WRO content. GMPN exists to build something independent and sustainable. A professional media community where we share opportunities, exchange resources, collaborate on projects, and expand the visibility of each other’s platforms.
What you gain as a member
By joining GMPN, you become part of a network built for collaboration. Members will have access to shared story leads, vetted interviews and features, opportunities for co-production, media advisory, and event coverage. You will also get first access to sources, speakers, entrepreneurs, and institutional partners within WRO programmes and the Global Gathering of Empowered Women (GEW) ecosystem.
In return, your platform gains wider distribution, new professional connections, and a stronger voice in conversations that shape policy and development.
How participation works
Membership is flexible and respects your editorial independence. You decide what fits your platform, audience, and capacity. There is no obligation to publish every story or material circulated within the Network. The idea is simple: contribute where you can, and benefit from the collective strength of the group.
We are currently assembling an initial group of media professionals to help lay the foundation for GMPN. Based on your work and influence, I believe you would bring valuable perspective to this community.
If you are open to joining us, kindly indicate your interest and we will share the full participation framework and next steps.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to working with you to tell stories that inform, inspire, and create real impact.
Warm regards,
