Customs Sets Gwagwalada Centre for Final Screening and Documentation of Shortlisted Applicants

The Nigeria Customs Service has concluded the initial stages of its 2026 recruitment exercise and is now set to proceed with the physical screening and documentation of all successful applicants.
The exercise will be conducted at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, NCCSC, Gwagwalada, Abuja. This phase is critical to verifying the credentials and physical fitness of candidates before they proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.
All shortlisted candidates are expected to report to the screening centre on the specific date assigned to their state and cadre. The Service emphasizes that attendance is mandatory. Any candidate who fails to appear on the allocated date will be deemed to have withdrawn from the process and will be automatically disqualified.
For the purpose of verification, candidates are to come along with both original copies and photocopies of all relevant documents. These include the National Identification Number slip, original birth certificate or age declaration, and all academic certificates ranging from O’Level to ND, HND, Degree and other professional qualifications as applicable to the cadre applied for.
In addition, applicants must present a valid Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport-sized photographs, a duly completed guarantor’s form, and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate where required. For the physical fitness assessment, all candidates must appear in a plain white T-shirt, white shorts and white canvas shoes.
The Nigeria Customs Service under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, has reiterated its commitment to a recruitment process that is transparent, fair and strictly based on merit. The Service further advises the public and all candidates to disregard any information not issued through official NCS channels.
Upon the successful completion of the screening and documentation, qualified candidates will be communicated with directly by the Service regarding the dates and requirements for the subsequent stages.
