Chief Dr. Jonathan Bature Musa, NDC candidate for Plateau State Northern Senatorial Zone seeking election into the Senate in 2027, has strongly condemned the recent attack on Kawel in the Mushere community, describing the incident as unfortunate, heartbreaking, and unacceptable.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction of property, Chief Dr. Musa extended his heartfelt condolences to all families affected by the tragedy. “No community should endure this level of pain and insecurity. My thoughts and prayers are with every grieving family in this difficult time,” he said.
He called on government at all levels to make the security of lives and property its highest priority, stressing that every Nigerian deserves to live in peace and safety. He further urged security agencies to intensify protection of vulnerable communities and ensure that perpetrators of the attack are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
Chief Dr. Musa also appealed to communities, especially those directly affected, to take security seriously by remaining vigilant, cooperating fully with security agencies, and promoting unity among residents.
He specifically extended his deepest condolences to the family of the late Rev. Markus Dabo Nyam of Nabar Maijuju, Fursum District. He prayed that God Almighty grants the deceased eternal rest and gives his family, friends, and the entire community the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss.
“Our people deserve peace, not fear. We must stand together to protect our communities and demand accountability,” Chief Dr. Musa stated.
