Hundreds of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) staged a peaceful rally faulting the notions in certain quarters that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in total control of power.
The group, which marched through the Unity Fountain near the Presidential Villa, Abuja, alleged that there are saboteurs in the corridors of power bent on undermining President Buhari’s administration.
This followed the Concerned National Stakeholders of APC rally in which the group protested against what it described as the unwholesome influence of Mamman Daura, Ismaila Funtua and Abba Kyari on the present administration.
However, the pro-Buhari APC group argued that such claim was not true, adding that Daura, Funtua and Kyari were patriotic Nigerians working with President Buhari to ensure better development of the country.
They carried placards with inscriptions as, Under PMB, N-Power Is Working; We Stand With President Muhammadu Buhari and the President Buhari Is In Charge Of Government, among others to press home their case.
Convener of the group, Paul Dowells Essen, who spoke during the rally, urged President Buhari to ignore those who are opposed to his relationship with Daura, Funtua and Kyari.
The group maintained that it could not fold its arms and allow a few individuals to ruin the country by blackmailing the President.
