Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has relaxed curfew in the state by one hour, following its Security Council meeting in Damaturu, the state capital.
A statement issued by Director General Press Affairs to the Governor, Abdullahi Bego in Damaturu, disclosed that the curfew imposed on the entire state now begins from 11pm and ends at 6am daily.
The statement explained Governor Buni approved the decision to relax the curfew in the 17 local government areas after the meeting.
Bego added that state government will continue to work closely with security agencies to ensure public safety and protection of lives and property.
