33 VESSELS EXPECTED AT LAGOS PORTS WITH PETROLEUM, FOOD AND GENERAL CARGO

The Nigerian Ports Authority is expecting 33 vessels to arrive at Lagos ports in the coming days with consignments of petroleum products, food items and other essential goods.
In a release by the NPA Authority recently the ships are scheduled to berth between July 2 and July 10 at Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tincan Island ports.
The NPA Authority stated that 12 of the expected vessels will berth with containers carrying various goods. The other 21 ships are billed to deliver bulk cargo including urea, petrol, crude oil, general cargo, fresh fish and bulk wheat.
The Authority also noted that some of the vessels are scheduled for repairs at the ports.
It further disclosed that 11 ships and tankers have already arrived at the three ports and are waiting to berth. Their cargo includes petrol, bulk wheat, liquefied petroleum gas, general cargo, diesel, containers and crude oil.
The NPA Authority added that 23 vessels are presently discharging at Apapa, Tincan Island and Lekki Deep Sea ports. Items being offloaded include bulk wheat, general cargo, containers, bulk urea, bulk salt, petrol, diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, bulk gypsum and millet.
The Authority said port operations are ongoing as scheduled to ensure prompt cargo clearance and sustain the supply of essential commodities into the market.
