ACG Edelduok Urges Sustained Support for Revenue Targets

The Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Excise, Free Trade Zone and Industrial Incentives, ACG Eghosa Joy Edelduok, led a delegation to meet with excise traders and stakeholders at the Oyo/Osun Area Command on Thursday, 9 April 2026. The engagement aimed to drive revenue generation and compliance with excise regulations.
In her address, ACG Edelduok acknowledged the critical role of excise factories in driving revenue generation for the Service. She commended stakeholders for their compliance with excise regulations and urged them to sustain their support and cooperation to meet revenue targets. Edelduok praised the Oyo/Osun Area Command for contributing significantly to overall revenue collection, noting that the Command accounts for about one-third of the Service’s revenue.
The Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, appreciated the Comptroller-General of Customs for constituting a committee under Edelduok’s leadership, which provides a vital platform for engaging stakeholders and addressing operational challenges. Adewole noted that the initiative has encouraged compliance with excise regulations and identified operational challenges affecting businesses.
The engagement concluded with an interactive session, where stakeholders sought clarifications on key issues and highlighted challenges affecting their operations. The Service assured stakeholders of continued collaboration and support to address these challenges and drive revenue growth.
The meeting highlighted the importance of excise factories in driving revenue generation and the need for sustained cooperation between stakeholders and the Service. The Oyo/Osun Area Command is expected to build on the momentum to achieve its revenue targets and contribute to the Service’s overall revenue goals.
