The Powerful Pen Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State chapter, has concluded arrangements to hold discussions on the implementation of the VIN valuation policy with all stakeholders including freight forwarders, importers and clearing agents.

The programme will pave way for Customs brokers, maritime stakeholders, freight Forwarders, importers and clearing agents to articulate their views on the impacts of the policy on their businesses, since the commencement of implementation of the adjusted version.
It would be recalled that after the initial protest embarked upon by clearing agents following the introduction of the VIN valuation policy, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) adjusted the policy to make it user-friendly, capture accidents vehicles and other demands made by agents after due consideration and engagement with stakeholders,.
The roundtable will provide ample opportunity for maritime journalists to access first-hand information from stakeholders on the impact of the policy implementation so far.
