The National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Calabar, Cross River State, has reserved judgement on the petition by Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba of All Progressives Congress (APC) against Senator Sandy Onor, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after all parties concerned had submitted their written addresses.
Ndoma-Egba is faulting INEC’s declaration of Onor as winner of the February 23 election on the ground that he (Ndoma-Egba) was excluded by INEC from contesting the Cross River Central senatorial ballot.
The lead judge, Justice Vincent Agbata, said the “court has reserved judgement sine die and a date of hearing notices will be served and published on notice board for the judgement.”
