President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms have been transformative for Nigeria’s economy, particularly boosting export trade. Dr. Akutah Pius, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, notes that Tinubu’s policies have revitalised the manufacturing sector, leading to increased export activities. Unlike before when vessels left Nigerian ports empty, export cargoes are now leaving the country in significant volumes. The creation of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy is seen as a strategic move to harness Nigeria’s vast ocean resources for economic growth.
