Tincan Island Customs Command Achieves Remarkable Revenue Growth

The Tincan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has collected a total of ₦747,079,233,259.91 in revenue for the first half of 2025, representing a 29.85% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The Command collected ₦226,412,735,766.23 in January 2025, ₦103,254,292,293.82 in February, ₦128,266,643,816.08 in March, ₦245,020,168,704.83 in April, ₦128,446,323,224.79 in May, and ₦125,679,068,853.75 in June.
The Command achieved 98.3% of its expected revenue collection for the first half of 2025, with a remarkable growth in revenue collection compared to the previous year.
The Command received 3,450 Single Goods Declarations (SGDs) under the B’Odogwu clearance system and successfully processed and exited 2,749 entries. The Command has also organized several online and physical trainings and workshops to provide firsthand knowledge to stakeholders on the operations of the system.
The Command seized and handed over illicit drugs worth ₦8,053,225,000.00 to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The Command also confiscated arms, ammunition, and other military equipment concealed in a 1x20ft container.
The Command handed over the seized arms and ammunition to the Department of State Security (DSS), underscoring its commitment to upholding national security and promoting inter-agency collaboration.
