Shell ends outreach programme in Imo

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC/ JV) has concluded its five-day health outreach programme tagged Community Care Programme.

It held the programme in five communities in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of the state, disclosing that it had touched the lives of over 644,608 persons in 150 communities in the Niger Delta region since 2008. The programme witnessed health personnel commence the health programme at Ihie-Umuapu in Ohaji/Egbema Council and Obiti, Avu, Obosima and Ohoba.

Speaking, General Manager, External Relations, of the company, Mr. Igo Weli, who was represented by the Interface Manager of Assa North, Ohaji South Gas Development Project, Ayodeji Adeleke, noted that of the number, 7,666 persons were reached through the Primary Treatment Facilities and Pipeline Communities in the last two years.
