Rivers govt pays UTME fees for SS3 students

The Rivers State Government has begun the process for the payment of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) fees for eligible SS3 students in the state.

The state Ministry of Education, principals of public and private schools are to register all eligible students on the Rivers Education Management Information System (RIVEMIS) on www.rivemis.riversstate.gov.ng

Addressing principals of public and private senior secondary schools, Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, said Governor Wike was desirous of impacting the lives of Rivers people.

Ebeku explained that the registration on RIVEMIS was to furnish the state government with the actual number of students that are eligible for the examination.

He directed Principals of Public and approved Private schools to ensure that all eligible Rivers students are uploaded on the platform before the close of work on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
