RIVCHPP Seals Partnership With RSUTH On Quality Healthcare Services

To engender better working relationships and enhanced service delivery, the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) has secured a commitment for synergy and robust collaboration from the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH.)

The RIVCHPP’s position was made known by its Acting Executive Secretary, Dr. Vetty Agala when she visited the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor at his office in Port Harcourt.

Agala reiterated that considering the track record of RSUTH in quality health care service delivery, RIVCHPP has decided to refer their enrollees from other health facilities for secondary and tertiary health care services, urging the health institution always to give accelerated attention to such RIVCHPP referral patients

Speaking, the CMD of RSUTH, Prof.  Alikor, used the opportunity to congratulate the Acting Executive Secretary on her appointment, and the wonderful work that RIVCHPP is doing by going around every part of the state to ensure that residents access quality health care services without bearing heavy financial and socio-economic burden.

Prof. Alikor expressed the willingness and readiness of RSUTH to partner with the agency in empowering Rivers residents with accessible, quality health care services.

The Deputy Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Dr. Simon Sylvester Uriah, and the Assistant Chief Medical Director in charge of Due Process, Dr. Simeon Chijioke Amadi, were among those present during the visit.
