The Police Service Commission (PSC) has warned that it will deal decisively with anyone involved in racketeering or fraud during the recruitment of qualified Nigerians into the Nigeria Police Force. The Commission’s Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu, emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and equity in the recruitment process.
PSC will resist and sanction any unacceptable behavior, sharp practices, or untoward acts during the recruitment process.
PSC seeks cooperation from the Federal Character Commission to ensure fairness and balanced representation in law enforcement institutions.
The Commission will soon begin the processes for this year’s exercise, which will include Cadet ASPs and Inspectors.
DIG Argungu assured that the PSC is committed to upholding the principles of fairness and equity in the recruitment process, with no room for discretion, waiver, or replacement. The Federal Character Commission’s Acting Executive Chairman, Hon. Kayode Oladele, welcomed the PSC’s initiative, noting that it demonstrates a shared commitment to fairness, justice, and national cohesion.
