PTML Revenue Soars to N350bn as Customs Cracks Down on Smuggling

The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has generated ₦350,347,173,787.92 in revenue between January and September 2025. This achievement represents 96.64% of the total revenue collected in the entire year of 2024.
Revenue Highlights:
– ₦350,347,173,787.92 generated in 9 month, 96.64% of 2024’s total revenu, 34.3% increase in revenue in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 2024.
Seizure of 2 containers containing unregistered pharmaceuticals worth ₦200 million
Intercepted arms and ammunition, including a pistol and live rounds
Collaboration with NAFDAC to ensure compliance with regulations
The Customs Area Controller reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to upholding national security and compliance with customs regulations
He Emphasis on the importance of compliance for business growth and achieving Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status
Receiving the seized pharmaceuticals, Dr. Olakunle Olaniran, Director of NAFDAC’s Port Inspectorate Division, commended the Customs Service for its proactive enforcement efforts. He described the partnership between both agencies as a “working and life-saving collaboration” and encouraged Nigerians to purchase medicines only from registered and approved vendors.
Dr. Olaniran also lauded Comptroller Anani for supporting NAFDAC’s mission to protect public health by preventing the importation of unregistered and potentially dangerous pharmaceuticals into the country.
