President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged sustained funding of the judiciary to enable it to discharge its constitutional responsibilities creditably.
He noted that it was the collective duty of the three arms of government to ensure justice for all Nigerians.
Speaking at the commissioning of the annexe building of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) headquarters to mark the retirement of its president, Justice Babatunde Adejumo in Abuja, the Nigerian leader stated: ”You will all recall that in 2014, the entire budgetary allocation to the judiciary was N68 billion.
”Today, the judiciary’s budgetary allocation has gone up to N100 billion. Rest assured that we shall continue to adequately fund the judiciary to ensure it is enabled to discharge its responsibilities.”
He appealed to all arms of government to ensure the successful implementation of the policies, programmes and projects of his administration for the betterment of the citizenry.
