Powerful Pen Media NUJ Chapel To Train Journalists On Maritime Security Reportage

The Powerful Pen Media chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has concluded plans to organise a training programme for maritime journalists on accurate and factual reporting and national security.
The capacity building programme is scheduled to hold on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at MAJAN Secretariat in Apapa, Lagos.
The programme will provide a veritable platform to update journalists on modern trends in port operations, as the training will focus on the latest techniques in reporting port operations, taking into cognisance national security, accurate reportage of customs operations and modernisation and freight forwarding in the 21st Century.
Dignitaries expected at the training are officials of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Freight Forwarders from the Association of Nigerian Licenced Customs Agents (ANLCA), National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and other captains of industry.
The training is designed to boost the competencies of maritime journalists in reporting activities of the industry accurately, in line with the latest trends in port operations, among others.
