Party lauds Lagos Assembly for challenging Sanwo-Olu, NNPC on pipeline vandalism

The Lagos chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lauded the resolution of the Mudashiru Obasa-led state House of Assembly directing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to tackle pipeline vandalism.

In a statement, the party’s spokesman, Taofik Gani, said the resolution, which also included the immediate development of the pipeline areas in the state and provision of adequate compensation to victims of vandalism, should also contain reward for other recent disasters in the state like flooding and boat mishaps.

He stressed that the victims of the Ijegun fire disaster needed urgent government help.
