Governors of the 19 northern states at the weekend said they had perfected arrangement to convene a summit to discuss the problems associated with the Almajiri education system in the region.
They said the idea was one of the measures to frontally address the insecurity in the country.
Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum (NGF) and chief executive of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, made the disclosure while addressing reporters in Abuja.
He said last week’s policy retreat for governors was aimed at addressing the pervasive insecurity in the country.
