A reliable source said in Abuja that the disease and falling oil prices were jeopardising the resumption of the new employees on May 4, 2020, as management was considering a new date.
The national oil firm, which last month rejigged its top management, had hired young graduates to replace its aging and retiring workforce to boost productivity
The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs of the NNPC, Kenny Obateru, when contacted, responded: “I cannot speak now, send an SMS.”
But when reminded that he had been sent texts, he, however, declined response at press time.
