Nigeria’s Maritime and Oil Sector Gets Boost from NIMASA-NUPRC Collaboration

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s investment climate through enhanced inter-agency collaboration. This partnership aims to eliminate operational bottlenecks, promote investor confidence, and ensure efficient revenue generation across the maritime and oil and gas sectors.

The collaboration will focus on improving regulatory oversight, promoting indigenous capacity in international shipping, and controlling marine pollution. The agencies will also work together to ensure compliance with regulations, promote investment, and enforce environmental and safety standards.
