Nigeria Customs Service Resolves PAAR Transmission Glitch

By prince Benson Davies

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has addressed concerns from importers and customs agents about delays in transmitting Product Certificates for Form M and SONCAP needed for PAAR processing on the B’Odogwu platform. The issues arose from technical challenges when onboarding the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) onto B’Odogwu on July 23, 2025. Traders faced problems capturing Form M, PAAR, and Single Goods Declaration (SGD) data due to issues like limited space for trader names, formatting errors, missing product codes, unclear error messages, and TIN linking difficulties.

However, as of August 6, 2025, both NCS and SON have resolved the transmission issues. Product Certificates and SONCAP documents are now transmitting smoothly, and the backlog of affected transactions is being cleared.

Key Updates
– Resolution Achieved: NCS and SON fixed transmission issues as of August 6, 2025.
– Nationwide Rollout: B’Odogwu platform implementation is ongoing across Zones A, B, C, and D.
– Support for Stakeholders: Trained officers provide hands-on technical help to traders and agents.
– Ongoing Training: Regular sessions build user capacity and help resolve operational challenges.
