N128.4 Billion Revenue Milestone: Comptroller Onyeka’s Tin Can Island Customs Shines

Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka’s leadership of the Tin Can Island Port Area Command has yielded impressive results, with the command generating N128.4 billion in revenue in May, a testament to the command’s efficiency and effectiveness into trade facilitation and revenue collection.
The Command has persistently churned out record revenues since the turn of the year, its stakeholders engagement has also been commended to be top notch going by many indications. The record of the revenue generated which was obtained from the public relations officer of the Command, Superintendent of Customs, Oscar Ivara shows that in the month of May, a total of one hundred and twenty eight billion, four hundred and forty six million, three hundred and twenty three thousand, two hundred and twenty four naira, seventy nine Kobo (₦128,446,323,224.79k) only was generated. This figure is far above the ninety two billion, six hundred and seventy one million, six hundred and three thousand, four hundred and eighteen naira, four kobo (₦92, 671,603,418.04) only generated in the corresponding month of May, 2024.

revenue figure for April 2025 is one hundred and forty five billion naira (₦145,000,000,000.00) and is also a significant increase over the figure of ninety five billion, five hundred million naira (₦95,500,000,000.00) for the corresponding period of April for 2024.
Under Comptroller Onyeka’s leadership, the Command has aligned with the Comptroller-General’s vision, prioritizing seamless revenue generation, trade facilitation, and economic protection, yielding impressive month-on-month performance gains.
