His words: “We as members of the Maritime Workers Union are happy with you and hope to keep our doors open for mutual cooperation and for a possible collaboration which will strengthen both organisations to positively impact our nation’s economy in the maritime industry.”
Responding, the leadership of ANLCA said that the newly elected executives will ensure that both bodies will synergise to achieve one common goal of growing the country’s economy through all the seaports.
They also described Adeyanju as a man of peace, whose leadership acumen in the sector cannot be overstressed, hence the visit to the MWUN was very paramount to the new leadership.
Adeyanju further commended both losers and winners of the just concluded ANLCA elections, saying there was the need to carry everyone along in the scheme of things as if there was no loser or winner, stressing that that all hands must be on deck for a better administration of the association.
Also Maritime Labour Industry Leadership admonished the new leadership to work in with unity of purpose, while congratulating the new leaders, just as Adeyanju promised the new leaders that he is poised to reciprocate their gesture.
