MAJAN,maritime Stakeholders to appraise industry in first quarter of 2021

Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria ( MAJAN) in conjunction with the Maritime stakeholders will appraise the industry conducts in first quarter of the year on Thursday, 20th of May 2021.

Seasoned and experienced veterans in the industry are opportune to deliberate on the achievement, economic development, employment generation, diversification, revenue contributions to GDP and many other issues that will be deliberated upon.

The achievements and failures in the industry will be reviewed and analysed for the future progress of the industry.
Major issues that will be discussed also includes the beginning of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AFCFTA) and the Electronic Call- up system introduced by the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) to handle traffic gridlock on ports access roads.

According to the organizers of this occasion ( MAJAN), It’s of great importance to know how the industry has performed in the first quarter and also creating awareness to both service providers and consumers and to the world at large, that which goes on behind the scene of the industry..
Nevertheless,many individuals and corporate establishments has indicated their interests regarding the industry appraisal forum in order to give in their own quota to the development of the Maritime sub- sector of the economy.

The agencies and organizations that has done excellently well in this period under review would be highly appreciated by MAJAN whereas those that are dragging behind would be encouraged to put in more than already given.

This shows that the analysis of the industry is very crucial at this first quarter to let both service providers and consumers come to a realisation that they are globally watched and records been taken and reported in the system.
