The Kebbi Customs Command has demonstrated its commitment to corporate social responsibility by distributing writing materials to over 1700 pupils at Gwandu Emirates Primary School in Kebbi State. Led by the Area Comptroller, Comptroller Iheanacho Ernest Ojike, the charity visit aimed to support the educational development of the pupils and inspire them to become future leaders.

The controller, on his visit, donated writing materials such as books, pencils, biros, and foodstuffs to over 1,700 pupils of the famous Gwandu Emirate Model Primary School, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State.
During the session, he emphasized that the charity visit to the school was meant to interact with the pupils to highlight the mandate of customs as provisioned by the federal government constitution and draw their attention to the need for them to understand the laws of the land and the contribution of customs to the national economy.
He further stressed the need for the pupils to understand the effect of smuggling on the national economy and why Nigerians should not indulge in such nefarious acts.
While Malam Aminu Sani, the headmaster, accepts the donations, he describes the gesture as a form of support for the pupils. Also, he portrays Nigeria Customs as a compassionate and responsible government organization.
Furthermore, the representative of the Emirates Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir KKB Galadiman Gwandu, said the chairman of the council of chiefs, emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Iliyasu Bahir, is extending his heartfelt message and blessings to the controller and his team for this kind gesture.
