Ivara Brings Wealth of Experience to TCIP Command as New PRO

The Tin Can Island Port (TCIP) community has welcomed the resumption of Ivara, a seasoned customs officer, as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the TCIP Command. With his wealth of experience and expertise, Ivara has assured stakeholders of his commitment to providing world-class customs services, further enhancing the port’s efficiency and reputation.
Ivara,Born on April 6, 1978, in Abi LGA, Calabar, Cross River State, South-South Nigeria, Ivara has a BSc in Business Administration from a South-West University in Ogun state and further proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University Zaria for his postgraduate diploma in Public Administration.
Furthermore, he enrolled for his Masters Degree at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he bagged an MSc in Customs Administration and Border Management
Ivara began his service journey in February 2009 as a cadet inspector and has worked in the following commands: Station Officer, Bauchi/Gombe Area Command, Patrol Officer under the Enforcement Unit, Ogun 1 Area Command, Public Relations Officer Bauchi/Gombe Area Command, Public Relations Officer Ikorodu Lighter Command, and Public Relations Officer Area 1 Command Port Harcourt before his current appointment as the Spokesman for Tincan Island Port Command.
Ivara professional credits include Member Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
He also bagged some awards in the course of his service.
In a ceremony marking the transfer of duties on Friday, Ivara, who took over from SC Ngozi Okwara, said that as a result of his top-notch interpersonal relationship, he will effectively explore the media landscape in Lagos and team up with his high-flyer Area Controller, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, in order to keep the activities of the Command relevant and engaging with the aim of building trust and accountability with all port operators.
recalls that while at Area 1 Command, Port Harcourt, Ivara raised the visibility of the Command to higher heights and analyst say he is going to surpass the feat at TCIP, Lagos State.
