The Kebbi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service hit a historic milestone on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Comptroller Nwokorie oversaw the successful processing of the Command’s first declaration using B’Odogwu—an indigenous digital platform developed by Nigeria Customs Service officers with support from concessionaires under the Trade Modernisation Project. This achievement occurred during a sensitisation exercise on the B’Odogwu platform for officers and stakeholders.

In his remarks, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller CC Nwokorie, expressed his profound appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for entrusting him with the leadership of the Kebbi Command and for championing such an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing revenue generation and promoting seamless trade facilitation.

Comptroller Nwokorie further urged Officers and stakeholders to give utmost attention to the sensitisation exercise, stressing that B’ODOGWU represents the future of Customs operations. He emphasized that, as a vital revenue generation tool, it is essential for Officers to acquire adequate knowledge of the platform and its applications.

Following the training session, during which Licensed Agents and Traders were guided on registration and effective use of the platform, the Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents, Kebbi State Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, commended the Comptroller-General for the initiative and pledged the association’s commitment to complying with all guidelines governing its use.

The event concluded with a group photograph and exchange of pleasantries, signifying the collective commitment to embracing innovation for improved service delivery.
