Group cautions against plot to install Emirs in Igboland

A social service group, Jesus Armi, has commended the announcement by governours of the South-East geopolitical zone, banning herdsmen and cattle movement in the states, saying it would check the alleged plot to foist emirs on Igboland.

The group, however, said the governors’ action was reactive and belated, stressing that there was the urgent need for Igbo people to look for politicians with integrity to serve them in various leadership positions in order to intervene as leaders and act timely on their behalf.

Convener of the Jesus Armi and Okpalaukwu APEC Okpalaezeukwu, MaryAnn Okpalaukwu, stated this at a rally tagged “Way Forward For Nigeria” in collaboration with Early Christian Ministries and Ofuma Kids Management Team, among others chaired by National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Okey Nwosu at the weekend.

Okpalaezeukwu, a human rights activist disclosed that the group would use prayers to thwart what all the negative antics of the cabals, whose major interest and preoccupation was to dominate Southern Nigeria.
