In a bid to strengthen collaboration and promote industrial harmony within the port environment, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, PhD, Comptroller of the Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, will visit the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) headquarters on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

This visit, part of the Nigeria Customs Service’s broader efforts under the leadership of Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, aims to foster partnerships with key stakeholders in the maritime and freight forwarding sector. The event will provide a platform for dialogue between Customs leadership and NAGAFF members, focusing on enhancing trade facilitation and addressing industry concerns.

The ongoing Customs modernization program seeks to make Nigeria’s ports and borders more efficient, competitive, revenue-driven, and trade-friendly, while reducing smuggling and promoting e-commerce integration. Comptroller Olomu’s visit underscores the Nigeria Customs Service’s commitment to inclusive dialogue and sustainable stakeholder engagement.

All invited stakeholders are advised to be seated by 12 noon for the interactive session. This landmark visit promises to further cement the collaborative relationship between NAGAFF and the Nigeria Customs Service, driving growth and development in the maritime sector.
