Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, has said the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) spent N170 million on this year’s general elections.
Speaking in Kano while opening a two-day 2019 post-election review workshop, Yakubu said the money was spent on activation and operations of INEC’s Electoral Monitoring and Support Centre (EMSC) across the federation during the polls.
Represented by his Chief Technical Adviser, Professor Bolade Eyinla, the INEC boss lauded the ECES, stressing that the successful conduct of the exercise was attributable to the deployment and operation of the EMSC.
