SIFAX Group has commemorated the 2026 International Women’s Day with a series of impactful initiatives aimed at supporting women and the community. The activities, which included a school outreach programme, an employee empowerment webinar, and a community food donation drive, positively impacted hundreds of girls, female staff members, and vulnerable residents across Lagos.

The outreach programme saw over 500 girls from United Christian Secondary School, Apapa, Lagos, receive mentorship from senior female employees of the company. The session covered topics such as leadership, education, personal development, and menstrual health awareness. The company also donated textbooks, menstrual pads, and perfumes to the students.

The company’s female employees were also equipped with public speaking skills through an interactive webinar, focusing on strengthening communication and leadership capacity in the workplace. Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, Group Coordinating Director, SIFAX Group, emphasized the importance of inclusivity and empowerment, saying, “Every woman is a leader in her own right, and giving back creates growth opportunities for individuals, organisations, and communities.”

The company’s community outreach programme saw 500 bags of assorted food items distributed to vulnerable households in Ijora, providing tangible relief to families in need.

The food packs were carefully assembled with essential household staples, including rice, beans, vegetable oil, garri, and salt, to provide tangible relief to families in need. The distribution was conducted in collaboration with community leaders, ensuring a transparent and orderly process.

Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, Group Coordinating Director, SIFAX Group, coordinated the outreach and noted that the initiative reflects the organisation’s culture of compassion and commitment to giving back to the community. She added that the exercise aimed to amplify the message of International Women’s Day by empowering women within the organisation to lead community interventions that uplift vulnerable groups.
