Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite was decorated with the esteemed rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police yesterday, August 7, 2025. The ceremony was held at the Force HQ Annex, Kam-Salem House, Molony Street, Obalende, Lagos, led by AIG Maritime Garba Yusuf, AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade Mni Zone two Command and assisted by her husband, Alhaji Adegbite.Top senior Police officers,Eze Dr.Chika Nwokedi (chairman of council of Ezendigbo in Lagos state

ACP Adegbite has served diligently in about five police divisions as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), including Okota/Ago Palace, Aswuani, Oworoshoki, and Satellite division. Throughout her service, she has been recognized for her philanthropic efforts and commitment to community engagement in all the places she has served.

AIG Maritime Garba Yusuf advised senior officers to remain humble, dedicated, and to take their work seriously during the decoration ceremony.

In her acceptance speech, ACP Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite expressed gratitude to the Almighty God, the Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D,NPM the AIG Musa Yusuf Garba the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of the Maritime Police Command, and AIG Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade,Mni, Zone two Command, the Police Service Commission, and the Maritime command for the promotion. She vowed to diligently work towards uplifting the police service.

ACP Oyin Francess Zarat Adegbite was born on February 14, 1975,in Warri, Delta state hails from Burutu local Government Area of Delta state.She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master’s Decree in Industrial Labour Relations from Delta state University Abraka.Enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2002, from Cadet Assistant superintendent of Police at the Nigeria Police Academy,Wudil,Kano.
