Court hears Olisa Metuh’s suit against EFCC’s spokesman on October 7

The Federal High Court, Abuja has fixed October 7 for the hearing on the application filed by former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh, against the spokesperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Wilson Uwajeren.

Metuh, through his counsel, Abel Ozioko, had initiated the action following an alleged misrepresentation of the proceedings of the court in the media by Uwajeren.

At the resumption of hearing yesterday, Ozioko drew the attention of the court to a report allegedly circulated by the EFCC spokesman wherein he “misrepresented the proceedings of the court.”
