CLO want FG to rescue 300 stranded Nigerians in China

The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has asked the Federal Government to rescue and evacuate over 300 Nigerians who are trapped in China for business activities before the outbreak of the coronavirus

In a statement issued by its Executive Director, Ibuchukwu Ezike, it stated that the affected Nigerians in a distress phone calls to the organisation, wants government to send urgent diplomatic request to the Chinese government to allow them return to the country.

The statement said the affected Nigerians trapped at Guangzhou China with their valid international passports have been denied return to Nigeria after they completed their business activities.

“They have been subjected to various inhuman and degrading treatment including repeated tests, being quarantined in hotels, denied access to Nigerian foods and taking away of their colleagues severally from their hotel rooms to unknown locations,” the statement added.
