Chief of Army Staff reiterates commitment to restore peace soon in N’East

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai has declared that troops’ sacrifices and professionalism were key to ending the insurgency in the North East.

He submitted that the observance of the two virtues was strong enough to rout the Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in the troubled region.
Buratai gave the charge during an Easter Monday luncheon at the Army’s Special Super Camp, Ngamdu in Kaga council area of Borno State.
He said: “Let me use this opportunity to call on all of you to demonstrate more commitment, zeal
and determination to ensure the speedy defeat of the terrorists in Nigeria.”
He told the soldiers of his determination and that of the Federal Government to crush the insurgents soon.
