Chairman of SIFAX Group wins Zik Prize for entrepreneurial leadership

Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, has won the Zik Prize Award for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

A statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications of SIFAX Group, Philips Ojo, revealed that at the ceremony held in Lagos, the organizers of the award applauded the SIFAX Group’s boss’ business acumen, tenacity, and grit, which has translated into a success strategy for the group’s businesses and, by extension, the Nigerian economy.

Head of the Selection Committee for the Zik Prize Award, Prof. Pat Utomi, pointed out that Dr Taiwo Afolabi has redefined business enterprise in Nigeria, saying: “Afolabi is the Chairman of SIFAX Group, a leading business behemoth with diversified interests in maritime, aviation, oil and gas, haulage and logistics, tourism, hospitality, and financial services.

“His massive investments in Nigeria’s terminal operations, especially its off-dock solutions, have positively affected the industry and catalyzed economic growth.”

Speaking further, he said, “The SIFAX Group boss has shown consistency in developing innovative business models and nurturing them to global acclaim, which has made him a leader in various entrepreneurial endeavours.

 “The Lagos Marriott is an example of one of the novel business solutions that have been brought to life by Afolabi.
