President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a message of solidarity to the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, wishing him a quick recovery and restoration to full health.
In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the president reiterated that his sympathy and support were with the premier as he battles COVID-19 personally, and with the British people as their country contends with the devastating effects of the scourge.
He prayed that Johnson would soon be well enough to “resume his great leadership of his country, particularly at this most trying time in global history.”
In another development, President Buhari grieved over the passage of Dangaladiman Wamakko, the younger brother of Senator Aliyu Wamakko from Sokoto State.
He also sent his condolences to the government and people of Kano State over the death of a chartered accountant, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim.
“As one of the pioneers of the accounting profession in Northern Nigeria, the late Aminu Ibrahim distinguished himself in his chosen career,” the Nigerian leader added.
