The Customs Boss, Tincan Island Customs Command Comptroller Dera A Nnadi mni, has called for a dinner to celebrate the 18th day of IFTAR with the Muslim brethren as well as to usher in the Easter celebration with Christians faithful.

Comptroller Nnadi highlighted the importance of coming together to uphold the nation in prayers for continuous improvement.

He therefore welcomes other sister security agencies, stakeholders, and the press.

Nnadi praised the new Port Manager, Mr. Sylvester O. Egede, who reported shortly for achieving a great feat as a result of the synergy between Customs and other security agencies, as well as the press for reporting the activities of the ports positively.

Furthermore, Nnadi urged all stakeholders to be dedicated in their respective fields towards national growth and development.

He spoke highly of the feats Egede recorded within a short period of time when he arrived at the port.

Therefore, he urged all stakeholders to be dedicated to working for the national growth and development of the country.

However, he expressed his appreciation for the collaboration received from truck operators, believing that they would endeavor to understand that the resolved traffic gridlock is a positive move that will encourage seamless vehicular movement and multiple turnovers within a short period of time as compared to what was obtained in the past.

He noted that the traffic gridlock had caused many deaths for some road users and also affected government moves for trade facilitation and ease of doing business.

In his response, the Port Manager, Tincan Island Port, Mr. Sylvester Othuke Egede, said that a combination of long work experience, environmental awareness, and institutional knowledge contributed to solving the traffic challenges that hindered the free flow of vehicular movement from mile 2 to Tincan Seaport.

Comptroller Nnadi, in his closing remarks, thanked all stakeholders for honoring the invitation even at short notice, especially the Imam of the TCIPC Mosque, who gave the closing prayers.
