Borno confirms burning of 101 homes, shops by Boko Haram insurgents

The Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has confirmed the burning of 101 homes and shops by Boko Haram terrosists in attacks on three communities in Konduga local council.

The affected settlements located on fringes of Sambisa Forest, included Borri, Kaleri-Abdulle and Wanori.

A statement issued in Maiduguri by the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, Isa Gusau, said SEMA’s chairperson, Hajiya Yabawa Kolo, made the disclosure when Governor Babagana Zulum made an on-the-spot assessment tour of the area.

He said Kolo affirmed that 73 houses and ‎28 shops were torched.
