Boosting Nigeria’s Agriculture & Non-Oil Exports: FirstBank’s Strategic Conference

FirstBank, a leading financial institution in West Africa, is hosting the 2025 edition of the FirstBank Agric and Export Conference. The event, themed “The Fundamentals of Building a Non-Oil Export-Driven Economy,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Eko Convention Centre. This conference highlights FirstBank’s commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s agricultural and non-oil export sectors, thereby promoting economic growth.

The hybrid-format conference will feature keynote speeches, plenary discussions, technical sessions led by industry experts, and exhibition booths showcasing major organizations. Participants can join virtually or attend in person. Expected speakers include Senator Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture & Food Security; Mr. Jafar Abubakar Umar, MD Bank of Agriculture; Mr. Abba Bello, MD/CEO Nigerian Export-Import Bank; and others.

According to Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director of FirstBank Group, the conference aims to empower stakeholders with insights, innovative solutions, and connections to unlock Nigeria’s agricultural and non-oil export potential.
