A driver has been confirmed dead and six students of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) injured in a head-on-collision involving a Vectra car and a Sharon bus along the Bauchi-Jos highway in Miri village, few kilometers away from the Bauchi State capital.
Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Bauchi Sector Command, Rilwan Sulaiman, said that the driver of the bus conveying the students to Bauchi also sustained injury while his counterpart in the other empty vehicle died on the spot.
“Our operatives swiftly moved to the scene to rescue the victim and the injured. The corpse was deposited at ATBU,” he added.
